carriers in the country. Our first-class operational and sales support covers all areas of the transportation industry including Local Courier,
Expedited services, Truckload, Flatbed, Reefer, Oversized Loads, LTL, and International shipments, enabling our agents to truly be "full service" l
ogistics providers.
| Job Description:
NOTE: This is a commission-only position. As an independent agent you will essentially be operating your own freight brokerage business.
There are 2 ways of doing business as an independent Sameday2u, Inc. agent: operations or sales.
Operations Agent: Secures and covers freight, handling every aspect of their customers' shipment from load tender all the way to delivery.
As an operations agent you would effectively be operating a full-service freight brokerage under our MC authority.
Sales Agent: Generates new business and obtains freight from their current customers, and then tenders that freight to Sameday2u, Inc. to cover.
As a sales agent you would act as sales and customer service for your client base, while we would handle the operational aspects of moving their loads.
These two facets of our program are not exclusive - our agents can choose which loads to tender to Sameday2u, Inc. and which loads to cover through
their own office.
Job Requirements:
- 3 years transportation management experience, preferably in brokerage or as an agent for another company
- Prior sales experience is a plus
- Strong business communication skills
- General computer proficiency, and familiarity with applications such as Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Applicant should be highly motivated with an attention to detail
Compensation:
As an independent agent for Sameday2u, Inc. you have direct control over your revenue, limited only by the customer base you develop. And Sameday2u, Inc.
independent agent commissions are among the highest in the industry, with a sliding scale based on productivity.
